Course AimsFor delegates to have a basic understanding of slinging and signalling. Training Objectives:By the end of the course delegates will have
- a full understanding of the employees and employers duty under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 in relation to slinging and signalling.
- Recognise various types of lifting tackle, labelling, marking and pre-use inspection.
- How to assess various loads, judging their centre of gravity, safely and correctly sling and then position the load using signals as a way of communication to the plant operator.
- Appreciate the need for good housekeeping and care of lifting tackle.
