Course AimsFor delegates to have a basic understanding of working at height and safe use and inspection of fall arrest and access equipment.
Training ObjectivesBy the end of the course delegates will - Have a basic understanding of the employees and employers duty under the Working at Height Regulations 2006.
- Understand hazards and risks associated with work at height and be able to apply a hierarchy of control measures for carrying out such work.
- Correctly inspect and operate harnesses, lanyards and rescue equipment used by their company.
- Know their organisations policy on planning for and carrying out work at height.
Delegates will be required to wear the necessary site PPE along with safety harness and lanyard for the practical part of the training. Course OutlineTheory- Appreciation of the duties under the Health & Safety at Work Act for employees and employer.
