Bunns the produce Biodiesel from sustainable sources of Used Vegetable Oil, also known as FOG - fats, oils or grease.

The free FOG disposal service for local caterers helps limit the damage caused by fats, oils and grease in the sewer and reduce our carbon footprint.

The Biodiesel Partnership is supported by Anglian Water and the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

How does the scheme work?

For all commercial kitchens that apply, Anglian Water has joined up with J & H Bunn Limited, one of the region’s top commercial Biodiesel collection specialists in a scheme to provide free containers which will be taken away and replaced on each collection.

The biodiesel scheme is more than just a way to turn waste oil into valuable fuel:

• It is a legal requirement to dispose of FOG correctly. Environmental Health Officers visit catering establishments to check for duty of care certificates for waste oil disposal.
• It helps keep both Anglian Water’s and your drainage system free from expensive blockages which you may have to pay to put right.
• It reduces vegetable oils in the waste stream, improving recycling performance.
• It helps wildlife and the environment.
