Foliar Fertilisers

agriMagnesium 9% is available as a foliar spray in a high concentration solution, fully soluble in water and contains the trace element magnesium for use when deficiency is diagnosed, suspected or where conditions are likely to case a magnesium deficiency.

Magnesium is an element involved with a number of plant enzymes. It is also essential as a part of chlorophyll, which is necessary to photosynthesis. It is obvious therefore that any magnesium deficiency will be highly detrimental to plant growth, quality and ultimately, crop yield.

Magnesium Deficiency

Magnesium deficiency is most common on light soils with high amounts of either potassium, nitrogen or calcium. Low soil pH may also reduce availability of magnesium to the plant.

A deficiency in Magnesium can affect all crops. Symptoms of deficiency appear first as a yellowing of the leaves with interveinal chlorosis beginning on older leaves. The margins may yellow whilst midribs remain green.
