German research work on the use of Kainit fertilisers on grassland has proved a link to better cow fertility from cows fed Kainit-fertilised grass owing to a better balance of salts in their blood. The grass also tastes better to the cows resulting in higher dry matter intakes. Early use can also reduce the risk of grassland staggers owing to the soluble magnesium content.

We have three grassland fertiliser ranges

• The Supergrass Range - Custom blended fertilisers containing 500Kgs/ha genuine Kainit providing enough nutrients in the correct balance for intensive silage production.
• The Supergraze Range - Ideally suited to permenant grazing land and for grazing pastures following a first-cut silage system. The Bunns Supergraze range contains less Kainit and is ideal for a first fertiliser spring dressing followed-on with additional applications during the season. It still provides the right balace of nutrient salts to enable grazing animals to maintain the correct balance of salts in their blood.
• The Grassland Recovery Range - NPK + Sulphur fertilisers suited for topping-up your silage land with essential nutrients following an initial first-cut silage crop.

The Bunns Grassland Recovery range contains no Kainit but is ideal for topping-up soil nutrient balances following a heavy first crop of silage. The Bunns Supergrass fertiliser provides most of the season's nutrients, the recovery ensures that the nutrients required most by grass, nitrogen & potash, are in plentiful supply for second and subsequent cuts.
