Sodium Chloride brines and Potassium Chloride brines are used extensively in the oil & gas offshore industries as a base for the fluid phase of the drilling fluid.

Amongst their various functions these fluids help to lubricate drilling bits and to maintain the stability of the hole being drilled into the sub-sea surface.

Storage Capacities

We hold stock and can can store in purpose-built tanks

• 20,000 barrels of Sodium Brine
• 5,000 barrels Potasium Brine
• 2,000 barrels of storage for customer-own-recipe specialist brines

One barrel is 42 US Gallons or 159 litres.

Bunkering

24-hour loading at 1200 barrels/hour to supply vessels from a purpose built berth close to the harbour's mouth.
