Epsom Salts contain 10% Mg [16% MgO] and 13% Sulphur [32.5% SO3] in a completely soluble crystalling form of magnesium sulphate heptahydrate [MgSO4.7H2O] They are made from dissolving then, crystallising powdered Kieserite. The material is hygroscopic [absorbs water] so is supplied in bags only. What is Epsom Salts?Epsom salts are a very readily water-soluble form of Magnesium Sulphate ideal for spraying as a foliar feed. Epsom Salts dissolve easily when stirred or agitated in cold water. Epsom Salts salts are a free flowing white crystalline powder normally supplied in 25 or 50 kg paper bags. It is the common name for technical-grade Magnesium Sulphate. It is often known under the trade-name "Bittersalz". Analysis: 10% Mg 16% MgO; 13 % S [33.5 SO3]; (Mg SO4 - 7 H2O) Epsom Salts dissolve easily when stirred or agitated in cold water. No insoluble residues form and the resulting solution may be sprayed through conventional nozzles. Epsom Salts are prepared from naturally occurring Kieserite. The natural ore is ground and refined by adding water and recrystailising to obtain a concentrated salt. The solution contains Magnesium and Sulphur as magnesium sulphate in a form which is ideal for foliar feeding, fertigation and hydroponics. The Benefits of Foliar Feeding with Epsom Salts
